One sunny day @ Central Park

For this first Summer day, let's talk about sunny days.

Even in such a big city as New York, you can find sun and nice green places to have a rest from the skyscrappers.Central Park, by its position in the middle of Manhattan is easy to reach and offers lots of activities, for anyone.

It still is my fav 'place in the city and I really wish to go back there to enjoy the fields and the view on the city.

Let's have a break - best activities in Central Park

PicNic

Many streets around Central Park are full of little Delis' or Bagel style take aways.. and small fruit sellers around the corners to add to your ice creams. Best way ever to enjoy Central Park at the sun, while looking at the baseball players. And the must... try a pecan pie or a carrot cake to complete your cappucino (or smoothie)... A delight!

Take a ride on the lake

For a romantic moment or just a peacefull place, miles away from the skyscrapper even being in the middle of them, just rent a small private boat at the entrance of the big lake, it is like $12 with a small caution fee, for 1 hour (think 1h is enough).. You normally should not bring food on it (probably you may be hunt by the ducks :D ) but some strawberries to eat in the middle of the lake really is priceless.

Play baseball with your friends (or any other game)

There are like 4 or 5 baseball fields in the park that you can rent for a couple of hours with your friends. Did not have time to try it but seemed really nice. Other rental baseball places can be found in the city, but most of them are indoors or on the islands next to Manhattan.

Run & Bike

So many roads within the park... then have a break with the squirels on a park bench, or a nap on the grass.

Listen music and dance in the park

So much musicians there and places to dance salsa near the lake...

Visit the Met'

Close to Central Park, you have the Metropolitan Museum of Art, with so many areas to explore... even real Pyramids.

Admire the flowers

And specially in the middle of Spring... the park and the streets next to the park are full of them!
